Andrea Krout Photography Portrait Experience

AKP operates as a boutique photography studio, & places an emphasis on not only creating a luxurious & FUN memorable experience, but also carefully crafting beautiful, tangible, heirloom art pieces for your home that will be cherished for generations.

Remember the feeling of anxiety choosing outfits, location, or anything else life threw at you before your session?

Those days are done with!

With a little bit of thought & preparation together, we can make your session practically stress free! As a Drexel Hill, PA professional photographer for the past several years, I have seen sessions go a few different ways & have mastered what works! I will work with you & your family each step of the way; from booking the session, what to wear, where to photograph, all the way through your Reveal Night & the delivery of your finished art. Below is an overview of the entire experience.

After you have booked a session, the first step is to set up a pre-consultation. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways, but is usually done in my home, on the phone, or a midway meeting location. In this pre-consultation, we will discuss your vision & goals for the desired session. This may include details about dates, location, wardrobe, products & pricing, but more importantly what makes your family relax. If you do not have a location in mind, I have several places I love to shoot. We will pick the best spot that showcases your desired session best! Remember, I want you to feel excited for the session & even more so that warm fuzzy feeling when you see those beautiful images printed or hung on your wall.  This pre-consultation is the first step to getting there!

Although not required, many of my clients like to send me pictures of their wardrobe selection about a week to two weeks before the session. Wardrobe is an essential part of how your images will turn out. I will give you suggestions and make sure you are happy with your selection to ensure that we will be able to capture the look we are aiming for during your session.

Session length will vary, depending on the type of session you choose, but a typical session will last anywhere from 60-90 minutes. I will ease into a session with some talking and if there are children, playing so they get comfortable with me. Be sure to have the time slot fully open for your session, as if the children need to take a break we certainly can. I know very well the feeling of "Uh, what do I do with my hands?".  Don't you worry, I will give you guidance that will help everyone feel comfortable & confident.  I want everyone to have as much fun at the session as I am. I know I’ve completed my mission when the even husband says how much of a good time he had!

Get ready to be spoiled! This is not only my favorite part of the experience, but also my clients. This is the part where we view your images and together create custom art for your home! After your session, I will be carefully going through your images & carefully editing each one for your gallery. Usually within three weeks after your portrait session, we will meet again in your home or mine. I will bring an awesome dessert and view a beautiful slide show with your images. I will not only walk you through the ordering process, but can help figure out picture placements in your home. I’m sure that your portrait art will become a family treasure that you’ll enjoy for generations. You will be offered special reveal pricing for placing your order only on that night, saving you hundreds. This appointment usually takes between one to two hours, therefore it is imperative that you & your significant other are present and (and if applicable) that childcare is arranged. I will provide a delicious dessert, & it will be a fun date!

Now we had a great time, became emotional looking at the images, & selected your heirloom art pieces, I begin to design & order your art. Once your order arrives, I carefully inspect each product to ensure perfection & hand deliver it to you.

Gone are the days of that CD sitting in your desk drawer collecting dust with the guilt of never printing the images. It will all be taken care of for you! It is your turn to sit back & enjoy.

So whether your session is focused on a special graduating senior, your baby bump, highlighting a child for their birthday, or rounding the family all up together, you can expect the same detailed process.

"Words cannot describe how amazing Andrea is! She takes the time to discuss photo ideas (outfits, props, poses, locations, etc.) prior to the shoot, she's great at giving direction as to what looks the best during the shoot, and she gets the final product back to you in a timely manner. Not to mention, her warm and inviting personality is always a pleasure to work with! I will always recommend Andrea Krout Photography to all of my family and friends!" - The Seng Family
