What an honor it was to photograph Jamie and Morgan's wedding. I have actually known Jamie and her family since I was a child as we grew up in the same neighborhood and played sports together. Her mom, Jane, is the Events and Rentals Coordinator at The Baldwin School. Last December, Jane and I met to look at the venue and ask me my ideas on how to make it more modern for couples. A few hours later, a styled shoot was in the works being planned. Jamie and Morgan were our models for one of the styled shoots so I have photographed them both before! I even photographed Jamie again when she was a bridesmaid in Rachel Quinton's wedding this past June as well! So when her and Morgan decided they were going to hire a wedding photographer for their wedding and reached out to me, I could not have been more excited and flattered.
Morgan and Jamie met over 10 years ago their freshman year in college. They compliment each other so well and are sincerely great people (also super funny). Their wedding was a beautiful fall day and we really lucked out with how the weather turned out. Last minute we switched up the portrait locations, and it was all for the best. Most of their bridal portraits were taken in a neighborhood, a random field on the side of the road and even the Pottstown bridge! Jamie was so funny saying "I always wanted photos in a field with the sun like this!". After we were done portraits, we headed over the venue, Manatawny Still Works in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. A beautiful and intimate ceremony officiated by Alex, Morgan's childhood friend. One of my other favorites parts of the evening was seeing familiar faces and the speeches. Kristin (Jamie's sister) and her father gave heartfelt and humorous speeches telling stories of the two and how happy they are to have Morgan in their family. These two deserve nothing but the best and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for them!
